Books Arriving for our 'Libraries in Boxes' Project

There are perhaps no days of our childhood we lived so fully as those we spent with a favourite book.
Marcel Proust

Books from our friends and family in Canada and the USA are beginning to arrive here in Kibaya.  Special thanks to Ron and Linda, Heather and Marc and all of our friends in Nova Scotia.

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.  Inside of a dog it's too hard to read.

  1. So glad your library is growing. Isn't that exciting! Just finished a really wonderful book that I think you would both enjoy too:
"Baking Cakes in Kigali" by Gaile Parkin, who was born in Zambia. Angel Tungaraza, the heroine and main character, has a charm and down-to-earth sensibility and sense of humour that is endearing, and Parkin manages to weave the heart-wrenching tales of Rwanda's history into the story via the characters in a way that is touchingly personal and very memorable. 5* !!! Can you order books for your own reading?
